About Ghosh Family

More than 300 years ago, Shri Krishna Mohan Ghosh, (the 27th Generation) created his Estate in Baharan, a small village in the District of Burdwan.

Shri Krishna Mohan was a senior Settlement Officer in the Court of Murshidabad. He also obtained lease for Kiriteshwari Mouza and was a Sebait for the famous Kiriteshwari Mandir (one of the temple of the famous 51 Pith) in the District of Murshidabad.

On a ten katha land, Shri Krishna Mohan had build three quarters, a residence, a temple for Sree Sree Sridhar Jiu (Lord Narayan) and created a pond ( Keshtosagar) in the backyard.

Prior to Shri Krishna Mohan, Shri Padmalochan Ghosh (23rd Generation) came from Joyjan a village in Murshidabad and decided to settle and to live in Baharan.
